Loading... Please wait...The Wiredog Saddlebag Harness Vest is a wildly popular service dog vest. It all starts with a top and bottom layer of extremely high-denier, poly-coated fabric and is fully padded inside with our "No-Stink Interior Padding".
This harness vest boasts exceptional strength along with water resistance. It also happens to be loaded with features:
The vest comes with 2 patches; one is located on the left-side (typical heeling side) and one is located on top of the vest for easy visibility. Each Saddlebag is outfitted with a patch as well. That's 4 patches all together.
This vest also features our molded rubberized handle which is lightweight but provides a much better grip than traditional nylon loop handles. It takes up much more of your hand for a fuller, more stable grip. This type of handle is a Wiredog Original design element.
Additionally, both the girth strap as well as the chest strap are adjustable for the best fit possible.
This vest is available in 10 different colors to suit your style!

For over 2 years I've been involved in the training of Labs for our returning wounded vets from Iraq and Afghanistan. So as my pup has grown and matured, he's had to go through several vests to accommodate his changing size.
Now that he's fully grown and filled out I wanted to go with a higher quality vest that he'll be able to use longer. Your vest unquestionable is the solution. The workmanship, materials, and obvious care in construction is absolutely outstanding!
Unquestionably you should be the first choice for a handler in need of a vest for his dog.
Thank you.

Very well made. The stitching is great. Patches are straight and well aligned. The personal embroidery of name is high quality. Shipping was very fast. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market. I look forward to getting out with my service dog.

I was skeptical about getting a bag with saddle bags because my service dog is an American Bulldog/Coon Hound mix and has a lot of extra/loose skin. I was worried the harness would shift around too much and not stay centered, but these are so well made and balanced, it stays in place even if he shakes his whole body! I absolutely love this harness/vest. It is very well made and fits perfectly. I like the large zipper pulls too. I have issues with fine motor control and the large pulls are easier for me to use.
These harnesses are very well constructed, and the velcro on the patches is supper strong. I have been getting asked where I got it a lot, and recommend Wiredog to everyone!

I have a hard to fit Belgian Malinois, He is never the Large and is hardly ever the medium! I got the vest that was recommended to me for his size and it fits almost perfectly, never shifting more that I'd say 15 degrees in either direction.
The ability to adjust is all good and sturdy and allows for minimum shifting of the vest, Including both of the saddle bags. My dog is my seizure alert and balance assist dog. Even though the handle on the top of the vest is NOT recommended by wiredog to use as a "Balance assist" handle, I do because I only need it when I am losing my footing and for my dog to "Brace" me. This works out perfectly for us. It also works as a great "Leash rest" when I need to put the leash down for a minute but don't want it to drag on the ground. (Do Not do this if your dog will not heed your commands)
I just actually read the part where it says the fabric is "Stink Proof" And I would have to agree for he's had it about 3 weeks now and It still "smells new" and he wears it every day!
My Malinois is Rough on his gear. He tends to rub it along fences and the car, and on the ground if given the opportunity to do so (read if you might be alittle busy) I've had Vests by Wolfpack.com and by Outward hound, Both were nice but neither of them could hold up "life long" for this service dog I have now!
I would definately recommend getting all 4 patches, I didn't but, left one side open because I wanted to glue on his "CGC" patch, however I did not realize that the patches on the sides can be taken off because they are embroidered but located on velcro so if you have a dog that has different kinds of jobs, or can be "asked to pet" or "Working please do not pet" ect... You can switch out the patches. This is a nice feature I have not had an option of using in the past!
The saddle bags seem to be sturdy, all of my dog's gear has had the the Y2K zippers, I'm hoping these will hold up to our repeated use.
The vest seems to be dirt "Resistant" which will come in handy of less need for repeated washings.
***NOTE*** My Dog seems to genuinely enjoy wearing this vest by Wiredog over the others. It fits him well, allows him to be active and is sturdy!
The only thing I did was email the company about putting the patch on the opposite side because "his typical heeling" side is not the left. And I was informed via email to leave a note in the section when I paid and it would come that way. UNFORTUNATELY this was missed and I did not receive the vest with a patch on the opposite side, however the patches are on Thick strong Velcro and I was able to change the side of the patch to fit my needs.
Over all I give this vest a 10 stars out of 10 because so far it seems as if it has very little wear and is of Awesome quality.

This service dog vest is so great, especially for its obvious signage!
